Romoni is a tech-based on-demand platform for connecting women with skills in the boutique service and product industries such as beauty, crafts, to the marketplace directly and boosting their income. The main target group of this platform are the skilled women belonging to the low-middle to middle income demographics, with a high priority given to the girls aged between 18-35 years old from the semi-urban to rural areas of the country. Most of the skilled women in the beauty industry typically migrate to the capital city Dhaka for seeking employment in the parlors and salons, with only a fraction managing to be successful in doing so. Aimed to be the “Etsy of Beauty and Wellness and Crafts Industry” in Bangladesh, Romoni.xyz is creating an inclusive portal for the deprived portion of the individual, small and medium size players in the industry to have a stronger base for growing their businesses and being financially independent.
