CORE PSYCHOTHERAPY CENTER, Ltd. is a trauma-based group private practice with a primary focus on the treatment of those who have experienced childhood abuse and neglect,domestic violence, sexual assault, and torture. Our practice specializes in the treatment of PTSD, dissociative disorders, self-injury, eating disorders, and address the co-existence of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and relational conflicts. We provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy, and facilitate various psychotherapy groups including for women and men survivors of childhood sexual abuse, for those who present with self-injury, eating disorders, and for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Additional psychotherapy groups address women issues, grief, divorce recovery, and adolescent issues. We offer consultation services to therapists from both community and private practice settings focusing on treating trauma-based disorders, addressing the complexities of transference and countertransferences in the clinical work, elaborating on the concepts of vicarious traumatization and compassion fatigue, and building awareness on the significance of self-care.
