Plymouth Meeting Friends School offers elementary education based on the Quaker belief that there is that of God in each person. We emphasize the Quaker testimonies of Peace, Simplicity, Equality, Integrity, Community, and Stewardship in everything we do, and our graduates take these beliefs with them into life. Our curriculum promotes excellence in academics, arts, and athletics and encourages spiritual development through the nurturing of the whole child. We emphasize peaceful, non-violent response to conflict as well as the development of responsibility to our local and global communities. Throughout the curriculum, PMFS balances academic challenge with age-appropriate expectations, while celebrating and encouraging the exuberance and joy of children. In this way, we offer a big world to our students in a safe, nurturing environment of our small Quaker school.
