In 2004 Journey to Dream (JTD) set out on a mission dedicated to supporting, mentoring and equipping, at-risk, victimized, and homeless teens to overcome adversity and homelessness through education, practical life skills, and experiences, enabling them to function as self-sufficient, productive adults. JTD is premised on the belief that substantive and supportive curriculum-based programs can be a powerful catalyst for this underserved population of teens to be positively motivated to pursue education and healthy living goals. We believe that every teen deserves a bright future, ensuring stronger and thriving communities. JTD in the only Transition living Program of its kind in North Texas; with 1000's of runaways, unaccompanied and homeless teens in North Texas on any given day, our services are paramount in slowing this epidemic. Journey to Dream has helped transform, impact, and save the lives of at-risk, victimized, runaway, and homeless teens across North Texas. We offer housing and a full service of supportive programs services to teens in need 14-23 years of age – currently reach, impact, and interact with over 15,000 North Texas teens every year. Thousands of young people who run away from their homes are asked to leave their homes or become homeless in the United States each year. In response to a growing population of homeless or unaccompanied teens, Kyle's Pace open in 2017. Coming off the streets, the teens we serve are usually disconnected from their families and other social support – kids who have endured traumatic and adverse childhood experiences. In addition to living on the streets, many have survived abusive homes, spent time in juvenile justice facilities, aged out of foster care, or have been victims of human trafficking and exploitation.
