There are 153 million orphaned children around the world. While there are so many compassionate people who want to help them, they often don’t know how or don’t trust that nonprofits can make a tangible impact. At Haven of Hope International, we’re passionate about changing the statistics and setting a new standard of orphan care. We strengthen and empower orphanages and foster group homes by helping them implement proven programs and strategies that rescue, love, restore, and equip the abused and abandoned children they serve. By raising awareness, contributing financially, or volunteering their time, anyone can become a member of our family of hope and permanently impact the lives of children around the world. The reality is that 99.5% of orphaned children never get adopted. Of those, 60% of boys will choose a life of crime in adulthood and 70% of girls will turn to prostitution.
