U-turn Youth Consulting (UYC) specializes in urban Youth Conflict Resolution by: advocating for changes that benefit at-risk youth, their families, and communities; facilitating in-person trainings, conferences, and webinars for entry-level and career professionals serving youth & families in any capacity; and educating students studying in youth-related fields. We envision that through our services, incoming, entry-level, and career professionals will elevate their ability to empathize with the youth, thus elevating the quality of their services, and, eventually, the level of impact they have. UYC encourages clients to adapt four fundamental principles for successful urban youth conflict resolution: Reassess, Redefine, Reform, and Reevaluate: We help clients Reassess the issue of urban youth conflict and youth violence; We encourage clients to Redefine the issue of youth conflict and youth violence; We establish open lines of communication to assist clients in Reforming their services to address the problems, either in part or in whole; and We support the timely Reevaluation of reformed services to ensure that they are effectively addressing the need of youth and their families. UYC understands the need to mitigate and eradicate youth violence across the country. However, we further understand that the greater objective cannot be accomplished without a collaborative and committed relationship with our clients to achieve this common goal.
