Founded in 2017, The HEAT Athletics started as an AAU Basketball program. Due to the lack of available gym in the immediate Hilliard, Ohio area, The HEAT Athletics decided to investigate building a new multi-purpose gymnasium that could be used for basketball, volleyball, and baseball. The ability to provide a local, learning-rich environment for up and coming multi-sport athletes would be a great alternative to traveling all over the city to find gym space. With a designed 18,000 square feet of gym space, the facility will play host to three full basketball courts, providing ample space for practices, clinics, leagues, etc. The facility will also include drop-down batting cages for rental. The AAU Basketball Program uses skill sessions, agility workouts, camps, structured high-energy practices, and a deep knowledge of basketball fundamentals and techniques, the HEAT AAU Basketball Program is designed to improve the physical and mental capabilities of its student athletes within their respective sport. With the addition of a 3 court gymnasium, the program will offer the a reliable and consistent resource for the improvement of its student athletes.
