The Kectil Program is an initiative of The Malmar Knowles Family Foundation (“MKFF”). MKFF is a Non-profit Corporation organized under the laws of Georgia, USA and Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Kectil Program (www.kectil.com) identifies, mentors and networks high potential youth between the ages 17 to 26 from developing and least developed countries in the areas of ethical leadership, good governance, innovation and invention, entrepreneurship, roles of women in society, employment and the environment. The Program comprises a one-year web-based training program that was started in January 2017 with 282 participants from 32 countries. The 2018 Kectil Colleague class had over 700 Kectil participants from 52 countries. Currently the 2019 Program has 760 participants from 63 countries. Each month the program trains the youth on different modules. Currently our agenda includes the following modules; -Lessons on Leadership from Martin Luther King and other transformational change makers -Enabling Women to Succeed in Society; Males as Promise Keepers -Population Growth and Effect on Youth -Youth Unemployment and Poverty Employment -Innovation to Advance Society -Entrepreneurship and Corporate Product Development -Environmental Sustainability, Personal and Group Management -Good Government -Local Projects to Improve Communities. Each module includes a web-session that helps facilitate the delivery of the content. The colleagues are also given assignments each month. The Kectil Colleagues in the program connect with other students on our pass-code protected website and on social media (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) with facilitated web-based group discussions.
