HRV Fit Ltd. is an international software and biosensor development company specialising in sports and medical applications of heart rate variability (HRV). Founded in 2009, we focused on providing athletes with the knowledge and tools to maximise their training efforts and improve their performance whilst remaining healthy. The resulting ithlete mobile app and unique finger sensor have been validated by Universities around the world and are used extensively in sports science, medical & psychological research. Reviews and praise for ithlete have appeared in numerous publications including Cycling Weekly, Triathlon Plus, Runner’s World, The Sunday Times App List and The Telegraph. Following a request from Dr Darren Burgess whilst at Liverpool FC, we went on to develop the ithlete Team App followed by cloud apps for dedicated individual athletes and their coaches. The ithlete apps currently boast in excess of 25,000 paid downloads. HRV Fit creates custom heart rate variability apps for B2B clients. We have worked with trainers in specific sports such as the Bioforce app for combat sports trainer Joel Jamieson. We have been involved in trials of ithlete in the rehabilitation of Heart Failure patients in three London hospitals and are currently applying for grants to continue this work. We have also worked with British Armed Forces to develop an early warning system for acute mountain sickness.
