WELCOME TO BRIAR CREEK FARM Established on March 15, 2016, Briar Creek Farm was cultivated from years of planning and persistence. I researched the area. I assessed my resources. I explored my options. Once I had everything worked out on paper, it was time to make the long haul from Kokomo, Indiana to Ruffin, North Carolina. Moving to where I call "God's Country" and planting new roots was my dream come true. My farm started out as acres of open hay fields and woods galore. I broke ground on both my new home and my out buildings. I watched as my land slowing became my farm. My vision soon became my reality. Today, Briar Creek Farm specializes in two breeds of goats, including the following Myotonic (fainting) and Nubians. In addition to my goats, I have several breeds of chickens that provide me with a generous amount of eggs each day. My hens and and roosters are pasture-raised. They are allowed full access to the farm, from dusk to dawn, returning to the coop to sleep for the night. I continue to research, assess and explore. I continue to grow. I continue to love what I do on my farm and for my family. Yes. This truly is God's country.
