WIV-ISP supports national (Belgian) and international public health policy through scientific research, expert advice and service provision. We provide science-based recommendations and solutions to enable proactive health policy making. We monitor and analyse public health and health indicators using scientific methods that are developed, QC-validated and applied in house. We develop advanced solutions to detect, prevent and treat current and emerging diseases, as well as solutions to identify and prevent health risks, including environmental ones.
