Arabia Steamboat Museum is home to an extensive collection of artifacts recovered from a sunken 1856 Missouri River steamboat. The collection features 200 tons of general store merchandise lost when the boat sank en route from St. Louis to towns in Nebraska and Iowa. Numerous artifacts from the boat itself are also displayed, including boilers, steam engine, and parts of the 28 foot paddlewheel.
