As part of NASA’s National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program since its inception in 1989, ISGC continually strives to positively influence and support students in the pursuit of space sciences and aerospace engineering careers. Program Objectives Our program objectives are derived from NASA’s original goals in teaching, research, outreach, and public service. The wide range of our consortium members’ individual strengths has contributed to the balance of ISGC programs and has provided geographic coverage to the entire state. Tremendous Public Interest The tremendous public interest in the wonders of space gives us a powerful impetus to educate and interest the next generation.
