Center for Accessible Technology

www.cforat.org

The Center for Accessible Technology (CforAT) bridges access gaps to technology for people with disabilities. We do this so children with disabilities can succeed in school, adults with disabilities can find (and keep) jobs, and all people with disabilities can benefit from the digital revolution. CforAT consults with companies on digital accessibility, including testing and recommending accessibility barrier removal. We assist our clients in making their digital presence accessible to people with disabilities and compliant with accessibility standards. We also have a Test Bank of people with disabilities who provide digital product testing from a disability perspective. CforAT supports children and students with disabilities - we provide assessments, training, and consultation to families and schools on appropriate assistive, accessible, and AAC technology. CforAT also assesses, consults with, and trains adults with disabilities and other digital access needs to find and leverage digital tools to more fully participate at work and in their communities. CforAT intervenes at the California Public Utilities Commission, representing the issues faced by the disability community in proceedings on energy and telecommunications. CforAT is a non profit 501(c)3 organization, founded in 1983.
