Access to clean, sufficient and safe water for 2.5 million people in South Africa in 2030: that is the goal of the Blue Deal South Africa Partnership. The first four local projects have been identified to improve the water quality for the period of 2019 – 2022: Crocodile River: combating pollution Vredefort Dome: improvement of water quality of the Vaal River Blesbokspruit Ramsar Site Rehabilitation Msunduzi River: improvement of water quality The effect of the projects will exceed the local results because the lessons learned can also be used elsewhere.
