WISE — Women in Sports and Events — is the leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports. Its network of established industry leaders and professional development programs provide members with the practical tools and support necessary to reach their professional goals and accelerate their careers. A registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, WISE was founded in 1993 and has its headquarters in New York City with more than 20 chapters across North America. Our Mission The WISE mission is to create and support programs that enhance the success and growth of women in the business of sports. The organization strives to be the definitive source for businesswomen seeking information about issues, challenges and opportunities impacting all stages of their career — from entry level to senior management and those in transition. Our Chapters Governed by a national board of directors, WISE National sets organizational strategy and provides members with a variety of resources, including online tools at WISEworks.org, to aid in their professional development. WISE recognizes the importance of engaging regularly and face-to-face with members of the industry, and chapters throughout North America carry out the WISE mission at the local level, offering members programming, events and valuable networking opportunities in their region. Chapters also work with WISE National to deliver organizationwide initiatives such as the WISE Within mentor program and Speed Mentoring Roundtables.
