LRI (Laboratoire de Recherche en Informatique) is the Laboratory for Computer Science at Université Paris-Sud, joint with CNRS, the National Center for Scientific Research. Founded more than 30 years ago. LRI has now over 260 members, including 105 faculty and staff and 90 Ph.D. students. LRI consists of twelve research groups, supported by an administrative and a technical staff. Six of the twelve research groups are joint with INRIA Saclay-Ile-de-France, making it the main partner of the laboratory. LRI is a partner in Digiteo, one of the twleve research networks created by the French government in 2006 and the only one in computer science. Digiteo gathers 1200 researchers from six national research institutions (CEA, CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique, INRIA, Supelec, Université Paris-Sud) and owns now three new members: Ecole Centrale Paris, ENS Cachan and Université de Versailles Saint Quentin en Yvelines. LRI is also a partner in System@tic Paris-Region, a competitiveness cluster with more than 200 industrial, academic and institutional members in the area of complex software and systems. The laboratory participates in a large number of national and international projects, including those funded by ANR, the French National Research Agency and by the European Union. LRI members participate in many editorial boards of international journals and program committees of international conferences. The laboratory is also highly productive, with over 200 major publications per year.
