For the first time in almost a decade, an FM radio station is located inside Hendricks County, Indiana, broadcasting under the call letters WYRZ-LP. During the most recent FCC open application period, The Hendricks County Educational Media Corporation (HCEMC – a non profit organization) applied for an FM license. The application was submitted in November, 2013, and permission to start the station was granted on February 5th, 2014. Our new spot on the FM dial is 98.9, with a 100 watt transmitter. WYRZ is listener supported and owned by a non-profit organization.
