Women for MACC
www.womenformacc.orgWomen for MACC is a non-profit, charitable organization made up of the mothers, siblings, relatives and concerned individuals who are fighting to eliminate pediatric cancer and blood disorders. The road toward a cure is a long one, but since our founding in 1982, we have helped to shorten the journey by contributing more than $4.8 Million to the MACC Fund for crucial pediatric cancer and blood disorder research. In no small measure, our success is the result of tireless volunteer support at all levels from members who serve on our board of directors to volunteers that help with any and every task at our events. Because of their unselfish efforts, we have no paid employees, and all operating and administrative costs are funded through yearly membership dues. Women for MACC is an event-run organization, raising money through the events that we plan. These events allow us to give $160,000 to the MACC Fund every year. There are expenses that are incurred for these events. After those expenses are paid, 100% of the net proceeds are donated to the MACC Fund. Our goal is to keep expenses as low as possible. In order to do that, we rely on donations and sponsorships to help make our events successful. Your support of Women for MACC will benefit ongoing critical pediatric cancer and blood disorder research right here in Wisconsin. We can assure our donors that 100% of the Women for MACC Fund’s investment in research stays in Wisconsin, with the vast majority remaining in Milwaukee at The Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Research efforts here provide real hope to children and the families facing a cancer or blood disorder diagnosis. Your support impacts the lives of children with cancer and blood disorders everywhere, as treatment protocols developed here become the standard of patient care coast-to-coast.
