It was a non-profit study body conducting seminars and surveys on all aspects of keeping marine flora and fauna in captivity. It honoured the three founding members and two other distinguished individuals with Fellowhips during its active years. It is now not operational and its archives are stored by the International Federation of Online clubs and aquatic societies for public access.
