Founded in Parma by Fabio Binacchi in 1974, Opem was born as a small family-run company, but thanks to an entrepreneurial philosophy always committed to the search for innovative solutions, the Binacchi family has been able to rapidly broaden its horizons towards national and international markets. With a view to constantly improving performance and product quality, Opem has achieved excellent levels of technological sophistication in packaging systems and is able to provide the most advanced production solutions required by the market. Already in the 80s he worked with important customers such as Barilla and Kimbo and over the years more and more companies (Italian and foreign) have chosen our machinery. To date, there are over 1330 plants sold worldwide among multinationals and coffee roasters. In 1984 the company headquarters moved to the industrial area of Parma, where it still operates with 112 employees. Here, in September 2014, Opem inaugurates the new plant that carefully combines technological research and environmental sustainability. Later, on the strength of an international vision, Opem expands with the opening of two new offices: Opem Brazil in Sao Paulo in 2016 and Opem Asia in Singapore in 2019. The next step will be in 2022, with the opening of a new branch in the United States of America.
