MIA is more than just our name; it’s our ethos. Because we believe in making delicious and unique food fairly, everything we produce is sourced and Made in Africa. That’s the MIA difference: food with thought that gives greater benefit back to the communities from which it comes, and which feels as good as it tastes. Making each and every MIA product fairly from start to finish in Africa is a serious challenge but as we believe in food being good in every sense of the word, it’s one we’re completely committed to. We avoid the use of GMOs and artificial flavours or preservatives, and champion taste by working with the freshest, best local ingredients wherever possible. It’s promises like these which leave a good taste in our mouths. From cocoa, coffee and nuts to vanilla, honey and more, Africa is home to a wonderfully rich variety of natural food resources, and we’re constantly discovering delicious new ingredients for our recipes. Once we find them, we use those ingredients in collaboration with local African communities and craftspeople to create the uniquely premium tastes, textures and flavours of MIA food.
