Litig's purpose is the driving of innovation, knowledge sharing and collaboration for the good of our member organisations and the legal industry as a whole. It is a non-profit organisation specifically designed to support senior professionals involved directly in all aspects of the implementation, use and support of Legal IT systems in the UK. It is a very active group with around 75 members with a huge emphasis on collaboration, independence, high quality content and networking. Litig provides a unique forum for members to meet and share ideas on how best to address IT issues facing the UK legal sector. A key feature that sets Litig apart from other bodies is our complete independence from any supplier influence. We were formed in 2003 We meet for a full day once a quarter in members' offices to network, consider current issues and collaborate on challenges and opportunities affecting members. Project teams often form to further work on issues of particular importance. These teams present their findings to Litig members and may go on to consult widely and publish standards or guidance papers to benefit all law firms and their clients.
