Caldara Plast has been in the business of plastic scraps recycling and transformation since 1963. The scraps come from industrial processes such as moulding, extrusion, blow moulding and silk-screen printing, in other words they are pre-consumer scraps. Caldara Plast’s expertise can be divided into two main branches:The Recycling division and The Compounds division The RECYCLING division in Erba (Como) is dedicated to the recycling of plastics. The division covers an area of 13,000 square metres, warehouses included. The COMPOUNDS division in Alzate Brianza (Como) covers an area of 20,000 square metres, with 6,000 square metres of this consisting of an indoor area. The regenerating and colouring of various materials go hand in hand with the recycling and regrinding operations. The thermoplastic granules are the result of a specific process of extrusion and drawing developed through the use of cutting edge technical know-how and strict quality control monitoring.
