Small enough to get through a standard doorway or garden gate and portable enough to be towed on the road with its own built in trailer, the mini excavator was born. Powerfab Ltd went on to sell the mini excavator all around the world and in its hey day employed around 50 people turning over £3 million per year. The company thrived for a while however in the face of increasing competition Powerfab was sold to a rival, the company changed hands a few times and along the way the brand was discontinued. But now - phoenix like - Powerfab is back. The Powerfab name suddenly moriband became available and David John (CEO and Founder of former Powerfab Ltd) son Nathan John decided to re-register the company name and revived the brand. Now manufacturing a new product called the spider which is probably the worlds smallest 360 towable excavator .Powerfab continues to offer pioneering, strong and high performance products. The spider sells to a broad range of customers including contractors for basement extensions, people who require digging for self builds, landscapers, farmers, cemeteries and many more.
