In the Mix Project is a local youth and community charity based in Wiveliscombe, Somerset. We are a local organisation providing youth and community provision to disadvantaged young people aged predominately between 0 and 25 (but not excluding other ages) who live and work in the rural areas of the Somerset West and Taunton. We endeavour to provide services that are accessible to all with a focus on youth work. In the Mix is a trusted organisation that actively seeks to involve as wide a range of people as possible in all aspects of engagement and participation, we engage in several community operations and seek partnerships and collective projects. We have established links with a number of key local and national organisations and decision makers and create opportunities, provide positive activity & encourage social action to benefit the surrounding rural area & local community. ITMP provides professional youth work support and advice to young people, relating to issues prevalent to themselves, their communities and their environment, some of whom are socially isolated due to poor transport links, poor mobile signal reception and low speed broadband connection. Young people have access to regular youth sessions or projects, which provide informal educational activities, and positive opportunities that enhance their learning and personal, social, emotional and professional development.
