Isla Vista Youth Projects is a nonprofit organization based out of 6842 Phelps Rd, Goleta, CA, United States. It was founded in 1971 in response to the community need for programs to serve community children and families. Programs include: 1) Isla Vista Children's Center, licensed full day-year round early care & education for children 0-5 years; 2) IVYP-ASES School Age Program on-site at Isla Vista Elementary School; 3) Family Resource Center, case management, resource/referral, counseling, parent education; and 4) THRIVE Isla Vista, part of a county-wide public-private collaborative focused on preparing the readying the next generation of residents for productive lives. THRIVE Isla Vista aspires to close the readiness gap by ensuring all children entering Isla Vista kindergarten are "school-ready" and maintain that success in third grade and beyond.
