Team Giving, Inc.
www.teamgiving.orgOur mission is to connect volunteers, empower nonprofits and strengthen communities. At Team Giving we engage and inspire volunteers of all ages to promote a culture of civic engagement that supports organizations addressing vital community needs. Our primary goals are to reduce the burden on nonprofits by connecting them with volunteers who have the skills required to meet their specific programing needs and, to provide community members with a simple, meaningful way to give of their time and talents. Our approach to volunteerism provides financial and workforce savings for nonprofits, while inspiring relationships that promote advocacy and expand giving. In just 24 months Team Giving coordinated close to 8000 volunteer hours benefiting 60 local nonprofit organizations dealing with issues in areas of human services, animal welfare and the environment. Our goals for 2018 are to coordinate at least 11,000 volunteer hours for 85 nonprofit organizations. Our approach to volunteer coordination is unique because we provide hands-on support and strategic connections. We strive to personally meet with each nonprofit to find out exactly what their most pressing needs are and then we purposefully match them with volunteers whose passions and skills line up. We like to say that we are the MATCH.COM of the volunteer world. Team Giving is looking to build, grow, and nurture more partnerships in Sacramento and Placer Counties. Businesses who are developing an employee volunteer program can reach out to schedule projects, and non-profits of any size can ask for help at one-time events, in ongoing roles, and for special projects around their facility. Volunteers looking for new opportunities can contact Team Giving to find information. As a young non-profit, Team Giving is looking to build a strong foundation of donors, non-profit partners and corporate volunteers while we work to inspire compassion and promote giving in the greater Sacramento area.
