VNA of Middlesex-East

www.vnaofme.org

For over a century, VNA of Middlesex-East has provided home health services to communities north and northwest of Boston. Our professional team of nurses, therapists, social workers and home health aides deliver care in the home, the place where most individuals prefer to be during recovery or an extended illness. As home care grows in sophistication, we are able to help more and more people maintain their independence and avoid costly hospital stays or nursing home placement. Hospice care is also growing, gaining more recognition in the medical profession and community as the right choice for compassionate and dignified end-of-life care. We own and operate our ten bed Sawtelle Family Hospice House at 320 Haverhill Street in Reading. This facility has met a great need for residential hospice care for those who cannot or prefer not to receive end-of-life care in the home. VNA of Middlesex-East has a staff of 150 employees and volunteers. Our 12-member Board of Directors includes individuals with a variety of professional backgrounds who live in the communities we serve. VNA of Middlesex-East is a non-profit organization that depends on the charitable support of individuals, businesses and foundations. Our Mission Our mission is to provide comprehensive home health and hospice care. We foster and promote the health of individual, family and community through education and compassionate, high quality services.
