OUR MISSION: Help under privileged children achieve optimal oral health. The best way to accomplish this goal is through education and professional care. Education, in particular, is the most impactful aspect of our sponsorship program. Our founders, Dr. Justin Raanan and Dr. Rodney Raanan, believe education is the cornerstone to maintain proper oral health. Education provides each child in our program with the tools they need to maintain a healthy and beautiful smile. From proper brushing and flossing techniques to the causes of dental problems, education can drastically improve a child’s oral health. OUR IMPACT: The Giving a Smile Foundation is a nonprofit organization revolutionizing education and dental care for underprivileged children in the greater Los Angeles area and globally. The positive effects of proper oral health ripple through almost every aspect of a child’s life, including adulthood. When we endorse a child, we establish a strong foundation of oral health that directly and indirectly influences the community, our community, for years to come. The Giving a Smile Foundation ensures these children, and in turn, our community, have access to the same information and treatments as everyone else. OUR WORK: Why is education so important? Misinformation or minimal education may result in dental problems that are easy to avoid. Studies have shown that children with poor oral health are less likely to succeed in school for myriad reasons.
