I love startups. I love the ideas, the pace, the culture, the people, the ability to grow and yes even the stress of convincing people to give you money. I did the large company, large team career path for 20 years but the day I joined my first startup I was alive with how quickly you can test, change and make a difference. I’ve had the opportunity to be an executive at four startups, one of which sold to a Fortune 500 company. Instead of jumping into my fifth one, I decided why not help lots of startups. I already mentored a ton of people on the side but it wasn’t until I joined a women’s executive group that I realized no one is focused on helping diverse startup teams like women, minorities or even first-time founders…so that is the reason I started CM Advisory Group….to Empower Startups. While I joke about being a COO For Hire in reality that is what I’m doing and that means many different things to each CEOs/Founder.
