The Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce is a membership-driven action agency designed to meet community and economic development needs. It is a voluntary non-profit organization comprised of 1,000+ area businesses, professionals, and individuals who have banded together to advance the commercial, financial, civic, agricultural, industrial, and general interests of the community. This organization operates under the direction of a 34-member board of directors that is elected by Chamber members. The Board, serving without pay, sets the policies of the Chamber. The Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce has proudly been 5-star accredited by the United States Chamber of Commerce for some 20 years - and is one of only 500 chambers of the more than 6,500 in the nation to receive accreditation status. Accreditation is awarded for excellence in organization, programming, financing, staffing, physical facilities, membership, and communications.
