We, America’s Recoverable Medical Supply (A.R.M.S.) are a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is dedicated to helping alleviate medical resource disparities of under-served populations and reduce healthcares carbon footprint. We collect recoverable medical supplies that healthcare supplies would have otherwise thrown away. These supplies can range from common supplies like bandages, gloves, and syringes to valuable equipment like EKG’s, defibrillators, and centrifuges. With our Recoverable Medical Supply Program implemented into our partner's waste cycle, we can effectively collect these supplies. When our team recovers these supplies from a facility, we then sort, organize and prepare the supplies to be donated to the under-served (i.e. supplying an overseas medical trip or donating essential equipment to local individuals). Healthcare facilities in the U.S. waste millions of dollars worth of medical supplies that are still of use to others. Many underserved communities (local and international) lack access to these supplies due to healthcare costs, medical supply disparity, etc. Instead of these recoverable medical supplies being put into the hands of those who need them, millions of pounds of recoverable supplies end up in the landfill where they only contribute to healthcares carbon footprint. A.R.M.S. was founded to change the current waste cycles of local healthcare facilities to serve both a humanitarian and environmental mission.
