What is CAVIT? The Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology (CAVIT) is a public school district working in partnership with eleven area high schools: Casa Grande Union High School, Coolidge High School, Florence High School, Imagine Prep School, Maricopa High School, Poston Butte High School, San Tan Foothills High School, Santa Cruz Valley Union High School, Sequoia Pathway Academy School, Villa Oasis School, and Vista Grande High School. Students in the eleven area high schools can begin preparing for high-wage, high-demand occupations while in high school. CAVIT takes a unique and engaging approach to education in the Career and Technology Industries. By providing High School Students the opportunity to learn an in-depth, highly marketable skill we prepare them to fulfill purposeful position, and career within our own community and abroad. Today’s high-tech workplace demands well-trained workers. At Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology, you will find the career training you need to reach your career goals. CAVIT offers aesthetics, cosmetology, dental assistant, fire science, law enforcement, massage therapy, medical assistant, nursing assistant, and veterinary assistant training programs for high school students. High school students in the 11th and 12th grades may attend CAVIT central campus programs and receive high school and dual enrollment credits while enrolled in CAVIT classes. Career technology education prepares students to enter the workforce immediately after graduation or to pursue further education at a community college or university.
