One of the objectives of the Tshiping WUA, as stated in the constitution [item 3] will be to monitor and control the use of water from and on all water sources in the area of operation as well as those uses by means of privately owned waterworks. According to the constitution natural streams and river systems, boreholes, dams, pipelines, pumps and all irrigation equipment i.e. center pivots; monitoring devices; dripper lines and net houses are regarded as waterworks. Mission – The management of water resources within the operational area of the Tshiping WUA in such a way that the sustainable use of water resources is ensured to the benefit of the ecology and all water users in the area. Vision – In order to accomplish communication between and involvement of all stakeholder groups in the management of water resources within the area of operation that will result in a dynamic WUA to ensure a professional and informed decision-making process.
