Around 2000, EasyData received a lot of requests for reproductions of old publications and books. Purchasing a professional bookscanner, software and getting skilled using this equipment was out of reach for For authors and libraries. In response to this question, the BoekopCD project has been established. BoekopCD is committed to re-issuing old, copyright-free books to the interested public. The idea was simple: make use of existing hardware, software and knowledge. The offer of books and documents to scan was no problem, our offer grew almost daily! BoekopCD B.V. is not set up to make profit, more appealing to our knowledge and to make use of our own equipment as sold and implemented by EasyData. The world changed and EasyData employees' focus became more on other priorities. Eventually, the website went offline, the technique was outdated and the CDROM became "old fashioned". There were no new releases anymore and only titles on CDROM were sent to clients on request. This small amount of loyal users caused that we at EasyData never forget completely about this project. The innovative developments for EasyData keep growing, more unique technologies where implemented at client sites. We developed a database that could easily be searched by large amounts of documents. With this new set-up we basically do not provide CD’s any more. With today's and tomorrow's technique, the name BoekopCD has been lost and has been replaced by DigiCodex.
