Founded in the spring of 2002, UC Berkeley's Nikkei Student Union (NSU) is a Japanese-American interest organization on campus. Throughout each semester, NSU hosts a wide range of cultural, social, and community service events aimed at increasing the sense of community for JA students at Cal. NSU partners with several external organizations, such as the Japanese American Women Alumnae of UC Berkeley, to strengthen the multigenerational bond between JAs.
