For Dancers Only is the South Bay venue for Lindy/Balboa/Shag/Charleston addicts. Since 2011, our mission has been to provide a welcoming environment for dancers of all skill levels, to encourage collaborative development, and to finally have a swing venue in the South Bay on Friday nights! Our events are held on the first and third Fridays of every month, starting at 8:30pm. The first half hour of every night is "Lindy Lab": an open and collaborative dance environment for you to practice your solo footwork, work with a partner on moves from class, or experiment and create new combinations. During that time, you will also have the option of taking a short drop-in class from a staff member covering a topic which will be posted in each event's Facebook invitation. Social dancing is from 9:00 to midnight. FDO DJs have eclectic tastes- there will be music for you to Lindy, Charleston, Balboa, Shag and Blues dance; there might even be a soul train. The whole night of dancing is only $8, so come out and dance with us! For Dancers Only is supported by the City of Sunnyvale Community Services Division.
