JaMpdx
www.jampdx.comJaMpdx is Jenn and Meghan, two friends who collaborate to make decorative and functional ceramics for everyday elegance. Jenn Gauer has been working in clay since high school. Her many years of experience show in the steady, clean lines of her work. Wheel throwing began as just a hobby, but quic kly turned into a passion. Jenn enjoys working with porcelain for its soft, luminous quality, and the work she designs reflects this in gentle curves and smooth surfaces. Each piece she makes is a thoughtful balance of function and beauty. Meghan Radick draws upon 14 years of cake decorating experience to add unique embellishments to Jenn's thrown pots. She mixes clay to the consistency of frosting, and uses cake decorating tools and techniques, as well as her own artistic style, to give each piece its special quality. Meghan also uses a variety of other techniques, including artistic brushwork on some of the pieces, with wax and stains. We have been collaborating on this work since 2004, and started JaMpdx as a business in 2009. We respect each other's abilities, and enjoy the feeling that we are creating something together which is better than what either could do alone. We take inspiration and support from each other, as well as have a great deal of fun!
