Cabin Radio is the next radio station for Yellowknife and Canada's Northwest Territories. We are an independent, commercial radio station providing mainstream music programming live from downtown Yellowknife alongside dedicated community speech and music radio. Our aim is to reflect the pride and passion of Northwest Territories residents while providing training and development for a new generation of northern broadcasters. We're one of the North's must trusted and widely read online newsrooms. Our reporting is read on average 600,000 times a month by residents across the Northwest Territories. We offer journalism internships each year, support freelance journalism, and work with NWT schools to develop students' interest in reporting and telling their communities' stories. We are one of the only entertainment video producers in the North, creating captivating and fun video ranging from Pet Project (weekly profiles of adoptable pets in Yellowknife) to Extreme Duck Racing (sending 3,500 rubber ducks over NWT waterfalls for charity) and beyond.
