Our History: Graphtec (GB) Limited is the sole UK distributor for Graphtec Corporation – the internationally recognised manufacturer of computer related input/output devices and recording instruments, and world market leader in recorders, plotters and cutting devices. Hundreds of employees make up our world-wide network, with sales in excess of £50 million. Celebrating our 70th anniversary in 2019, Graphtec Corporation is listed on section 1 of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Graphtec Corporation entered the plotter market more than 30 years ago with the introduction of the first intelligent, low cost small format plotter in Japan. In response to the world-wide demands from the fast growing CAD industry, by the mid 80’s Graphtec had developed a strong and competitive range of pen plotters and digitisers. The company soon became one of the world’s substantial players, growing and expanding year by year. Toward the end of the 1980’s, Graphtec extended its range by adapting the conventional pen plotter; replacing the pen with a cutting blade to create the cutting plotter familiar to today’s sign makers. Graphtec’s success is a natural by-product of our half-century commitment to researching, designing and building only the highest quality products for our customers. Graphtec (GB) Limited, formerly known as Graphtec (UK) Limited (and prior to that Environmental Equipments (Northern) Limited), was originally located in Nantwich, Cheshire. Our growth demanded a larger building, and we moved to Wrexham in North Wales. Graphtec (GB) Limited is one of the Group’s highest performing distributors. With our own Service Department which enables all Service Contract and Warranty covered instruments to be maintained by our own engineers.
