Linda R. Silverman, a former director of the contemporary art department of Sotheby’s New York, is an art advisor in Post-War and Contemporary art. She is the founder and owner of Linda R. Silverman Fine Art which offers advisory services to private clients to purchase works of art at auctions, art fairs and galleries worldwide. She was the liaison between Mayor Bloomberg, the Parks Commissioner, the Central Park Conservancy, and Christo and Jeanne-Claude for The Gates, (Project for Central Park), New York. This project grossed the city $254 million dollars. The $10 million gift secured from Carl Icahn, resulted in the completion of the Icahn Stadium in Randall’s Island.
