Princeton Racing Electric (PRE) is a student-run organization dedicated to developing sustainably powered, high-performance electric vehicles. Founded in 2013, our team designs and builds all-electric race cars to participate in the annual international Formula Hybrid + Electric competition. PRE has taken the second-place prize in 2017, 2018, and 2019, in addition to winning the IEEE Excellence in EV Engineering Award in 2018 and 2019 and the IEEE Excellence in Project Management Award in 2019, showcasing our commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and engineering excellence. Our goal is to give Princeton students the opportunity to gain real-world project experience to prepare them for engineering careers after graduation. Our diverse team members may come from a variety of experience levels and academic backgrounds, but we are brought together by a shared passion for innovation, technology, and efficient design.
