The Green House has been providing therapy for people affected by sexual abuse for over 30 years. Founded in the 1970’s, we were formerly known as Avon Sexual Abuse Centre. As we began to support increasing numbers of children and young people we decided it was important to change our name. We are based in a bright green building in St Werburghs, Bristol and so in 2010 we formally became The Green House. We have steadily grown over the years, and now provide therapy for over 75 men, women and children each week. Our aim is to help people affected by sexual abuse and rape to recover from their trauma and help improve their mental health, well-being and resilience through the provision of specialist professional therapy accessible to all.
