It is the only B2B magazine for the language and education travel industry. Born in 1998 in London, the ST Alphe Conferences (Agents, Language Providers and Higher Education) provide agents and educators with the opportunity to meet face-to-face to discuss international student recruitment opportunities. Since their establishment, they have hosted the annual industry leaders' meeting of the major associations Felca and Gaela. The twelve conferences are now held worldwide in London, Frankfurt, St Petersburg, Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Taipei, São Paulo, Istanbul, Spain and Honk Kong. ST Alphe UK hosts the annual ST Star Awards, rewarding quality across 25 categories covering study travel agencies, language providers, vocational colleges, secondary schools, service providers and associations. Organisations gather thousands of votes from professionals within the international education industry; agents vote for schools and service providers, while schools vote for their preferred agency partners and service providers. The winner of each category is revealed at a glamorous awards ceremony, held on the second evening of ST Alphe UK in London.
