Pariss Electric
www.pariss-electric.comThe basic concept is inspired by what gave Lotus its winners in the 7, the Elan or the Elise: make a more lightweight sports vehicle enabling use of mass produced motors and mechanical parts. This "light is right" philosophy is even more relevant for electric vehicles. The cost of the battery evolves significantly with the power required, which is a function of the vehicle weight. Decreasing the weight lowers the sale price of the vehicle appreciably compared with a heavier electric vehicle. This means we can achieve a good weight / power ratio and good on-road efficiency for a moderate cost price (low battery capacity, compatibility with the standard of a major automotive player who will let us benefit from the economies of scale and his stability). The development strategy for the PARISS was thus guided by this analysis and these clear-cut choices. The PARISS is a design, but also a concept using the power train of a major player, and not dependent on the uncertainties surrounding the growing success of battery-driven vehicles. The car's lightness means it can content itself with a battery weighing less than 300 kg, which makes it compatible with the power trains of the electric cars by the leading automotive companies (Renault, Toyota, Smart, PSA, Mitsubishi, Nissan, GM, etc.). The PARISS company will not develop any costly components and will assemble the vehicles.
