New content is continually being added. NCGS resources and educational opportunities include: - The annual Fall Conference takes place in Raleigh, in conjunction with the Society’Workshops held in various locations throughout the state feature knowledgeable, nationally-recognized speakers. Topics include research methodology, DNA, African-American research, land records, North Carolina law and probate, timelines, deed mapping, tax records, and much more. - Free, live webinars are presented throughout the year for members of the Society. The recordings of these webinars are made available to the public for three days of free viewing. After the free viewing period, all recorded webinars are available to NCGS members. Non-members can purchase webinars on CD from the NCGS Bookstore. - Our quarterly publication, the North Carolina Genealogical Society Journal, provides well-researched articles of genealogical value and numerous abstracts of of unpublished records relating to North Carolina. - Our newsletter, the NCGS News, contains event updates, research tips and news items of interest.
