According to the World Health Organization, there are over 50 million people world-wide with a dementia diagnosis, and nearly 10 million new cases every year (WHO, 2021). If engaged appropriately, a person with dementia can improve their physical and cognitive abilities allowing for greater independence and potentially decreasing the likelihood of admittance to a senior living facility (Alzheimer’s Association, 2020). Spikesology is an individualized platform to engage people who have a dementia diagnosis, specific to their own interests and experience. Spikesology is new to the market and will launch in January of 2022.
