BENTHEM CROUWEL ARCHITECTS For almost four decades, Benthem Crouwel Architects has been creating innovative, flexible and efficient designs in a variety of scales: from universities, museums, bridges, railway stations, metro lines, offices, housing, malls and urban plans to bicycle racks, tiny houses and crossover projects with designers. In all designs, Benthem Crouwel seeks a balance between economic, social and ecological interests, with a particular focus on innovation and sustainability. Benthem Crouwel Architects was founded in 1979 by Jan Benthem and Mels Crouwel. Over the years, four partners joined the partner team: Joost Vos (2005), and Pascal Cornips, Daniel Jongtien and Saartje van der Made (2017). Today, the architecture office employs some sixty staff: an international team of highly experienced architects, engineers, young trainees and recently graduated designers, who work together on various projects from offices in Amsterdam, California and Paris.
