We offer full and part-time educational programs in preparation for professional nursing practice at the basic and advanced levels: A Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, a Doctor of Nursing Practice, and a PhD in Nursing. The Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, the Master's degree in Nursing, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice at Stony Brook School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation Registered nurses seeking a baccalaureate degree may enroll in our Registered Nurse Baccalaureate Program. Nurses with baccalaureate degr ees may continue their education by preparing for advanced practice as Nurse Practitioners or Nurse Midwives*. Advanced Certificate options are available. We also offer Master of Science programs in both Nursing Education and Nursing Leadership. * The Stony Brook Advanced Practice Program in Nurse Midwifery is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME), 8403 Colesville Road, Suite 1550, Silver Spring, MD 20910; 240-485-1802, www.midwife.org/acme. Federal regulations require institutions delivering courses by distance education to provide students or prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with the state approval or licensing entity.
